Alan Roy Scott yra top Hollywood’o dainų kūrėjas ir muzikos prodiuseris. Jau 25-ri metai jis yra „Grammy“ apdovanojimų vertinimo komisijos narys.
Jo karjera prasidėjo EMI Music, kurioje dirbo 11 metų su daugelių JAV atlikėjų, tokių kaip Stevie Wonder, The Temptations ir kt.

Alan is a top Hollywood songwriter and music producer, who brings a 20-year career in the music business to enrich Greenstar’s digital culture project. His career began with Screen Gems-EMI Music and with a division of Motown, where he was involved with Smokey Robinson, The Temptations and Stevie Wonder.
Among the many artists who have recorded his songs are Celine Dion, Luther Vandross, Cyndi Lauper, Gloria Estefan, Roberta Flack, The Allman Brothers, Sheena Easton, The Neville Brothers, Pat Benatar, Patti LaBelle, The Pointer Sisters, Rick Springfield and Johnny Mathis.

He was awarded a prestigious Third Century Award by the US Patent & Copyright Board to honor his achievements in the international arena.. Alan was commissioned in 1999 to co-write “The Gift,” the theme song for the 30th anniversary remembrance in Memphis of the assassination of Martin Luther King, performed by Michael McDonald and The Reverend Al Green. He served as well on the Board of Directors of the National Academy of Songwriters (NAS) in Hollywood for 4 years. and is a 25 year voting member of NARAS, (The Grammy Awards). He is also a long time member of BMI, ASCAP, SAG, and AEA.

Alan Roy Scott. About master class:
I will offer a Master Class in songwriting that will offer some of the following points both creatively and business wise……..
* My over all songwriting philosophy and concept of „contrast“ as it applies in the various aspects of songwriting chords, melodies, rhythm, lyrics, arrangement, & production. I will offer specific examples of all these different aspects for a better understanding of it, and then ask the participants to work with one of these aspects on their own in a group exercise.
* I will conduct analysis of a few current „hit“ songs to analyze and discuss what makes them work and how to apply this understanding to a person’s own songwriting.
* I will conduct co-writing exercises in randomly chose groups to simulate real life situations songwriters encounter, and discuss the changing nature of collaboration, production, top-line, etc.
* I will offer „song surgery“ for anyone has specific existing songs they would like analyzed and suggestions made on improving the craft and structure of them.
* I will discuss the „business“ of music as needed in offering basic understandings of the basics on writers share//split, publishing, PRO’s, copyright snd songwriter’s rights in our ever changing social media age, and also have a Q & A (question & answer) session about any areas I raise of special interest to anyone that might lead to further specific questions.
* I will discuss the current international state of songwriting as it applies to pitching songs internationally in the USA as well as Europe and Asia, the value of international song contests, song camps, and other means of getting one’s songs out into the global music community.
